The Veil

Close-up section of part of the Lower Antelope Canyon in northern Arizona shows the silk/fabric-like texture of the soft sandstone rocks scoured by the sediment in solution by flash floods. The delicate appearance of this natural sculpting process is enhanced by sunlight reflecting off the slot canyon walls as it filters down from above.
